La Fresneda campsite, renovated in 2008, has all the comforts that a camper could wish for. The fresh micro-climate, above all in summer, makes the campsite the ideal place for visiting nearby cities such as Madrid, Segovia and El Escorial, there is a bus-stop at the campsite gates.
La Fresneda campsite is located in the Cuenca Alta del Manzanares regional park and on the borders of La Pedriza natural park and the Santillana reservoir water-bird reserve. The many autochthonous ash trees that dot the campsite provide ample shade in these natural areas, emblematic of the southern slopes of the Sierra de Guadarrama.
